We are getting ready to head into summer, so this week I have been prepping my Summer Capsule Wardrobe! I have a few articles of clothing that I kept from last year, but they are not pictured since they were not recent purchases. The pictures below feature my newer purchases and clothing items that I have carried over from my Spring Capsule Wardrobe! (Yay for being able to reuse)!
I enjoy the vibrant colors of summer. My spring wardrobe was full of grays, mints, and blush colors. Those were nice and simple, but for summer, I’ve added mustard yellow, coral, and some tribal patterns! My family has been traveling much more than usual, and we have more trips planned, so I kept comfort in mind and chose clothing that will be easy to pack. The last thing I want is to pull a dress out of my suitcase that looks wrinkled or to have to make time to stop at a drycleaner because I can’t handwash my clothes while we are out of state.
Be sure to include a few choices of pants, shorts, tees, tanks, dresses, and accessories! I also tossed in a few layers for those chilly bonfire nights.
This Etsy shop has an awesome printable to help you in the capsule wardrobe planning process! I began my capsule wardrobe journey last fall and hope to use the same capsules another year. This takes a lot of planning, so I recommend the workbook to help guide you. Give yourself a couple weeks to search for sales and promos toward your favorite places to shop. You will be wearing these same clothes over and over, so make sure each article is something you love and fits your unique style.
